President’s Message
Please drive carefully. Recently my neighbor’s loving and faithful pet was hit by a car which then left the scene of the accident. Although Max was rushed to an emergency vet, sadly, Max died early the next morning. A teenager was arrested for drunk driving around Country Club Circle also very early that same morning.
Several months ago a tree was knocked out at 9th and Country Club Circle and just a week or two ago one of the walkway lights was torn out of the ground at the 90º curve, near Broward Blvd. Not to mention, all the garbage that is constantly through out along the Circle. Some of the garbage is glass and if that hits a person or pet it can cause serious bodily injury or even death. I would say that no one’s has died yet, but that’s not true. One of our long time residents remember that someone was killed along Country Club Circle many years ago.
What can be done? What can we do? These are questions that will be asked and may be answered at the next General Meeting if we can get the Mayor and some City Council people there. Of course, let’s not let reality escape us. Nothing can be 100% perfect. But hopefully we can get people to slow down and not litter.
Please drive carefully.
CHARLENE’S COLUMN
Happy New Year! Here we are all starting a fresh year…and with that I would like to propose a fresh change to our newsletter. I have an idea for the use of this column in the newsletter: let’s use it to share our interests, community, hobbies, etc. I think it would be nice if neighbors took turns writing something that is of personal interest to them-golf, stamp collecting, volunteer work, bird watching, Florida history, fishing, scrap booking, cooking, etc. We all have something to share, we have a very interesting and diverse neighborhood here and this would be a great way to hear about something that we may not hear anywhere else. We would also get to know each other better AND we even find some new friends with similar interests. Maybe you are a “scrap booker”-you could share about your favorite spots to get supplies, a new technique, when the crops are, etc. Then we would learn something about you and you may find that others in the neighborhood also are interested in scrap booking…and voila, we have our own neighborhood “crops”! Maybe you collect something……….maybe somebody else in the neighborhood has been collecting that same thing for YEARS, maybe somebody just started! If you would like to share something, please call Charlene at 954.581.1113 or email me at cjmks4@comcast.net and we can set it up! Looking forward to some FRESH flavor to the newsletter and the neighborhood!

Please Remember to Vote on March 8th! The more we represent ourselves, the more represented we will be! The City really is aware of what communities vote and which do not. If we are apathetic, we can not expect much back in return!
