Turnpike Expansion & Sound Barrier Walls
The Turnpike Widening encompasses a 13 mile span through Broward County. There will be an estimated $191 million worth of construction from Griffin Road to Atlantic Blvd.
The Turnpike is going to be widened from 6 to 8 lanes and sound barrier walls will be constructed in areas adjacent to residential areas. New bridges will be built at I-595, Peters Rd, Broward Blvd, US 441 and NW 31 St.
A construction date for the portion adjacent to our community has yet to be announced.
